DInghy Rings "FLEX" - A Pivoting Vertical Davit System For Inflatable Boats (FREE Shipping to USA, Canada, Australia and several other countries)
Dinghy Rings are innovative pivoting dinghy davits, for storing inflatable boats or dinghies at the stern of a pleasure boat, in the harbour or while cruising. The davits are designed to be adjustable, affordable and discreet and is available in three versions to fit sailboats and yachts with external swim platforms, small swim platforms or flat sterns with no swim platforms - especially on sailboats.
Dinghy Rings FLEX is best for sailboats and yachts with no swim platform. It is hung over the stern, bow or side of a boat. It is adjustable in height and fits almost any boat.
Reverse the dinghy astern of your boat, place the rear ends of the dinghy’s pontoons in the rings, secure the dinghy and pull to lift it as the rings rotate. It hoists your inflatable in harbour or while cruising and suits almost any motorboat or sailing yacht.
- Convenient, easily handled by one person using leverage.
- Discreet and detachable and easily stored away.
- Gentle to both boat and dinghy.
- Stable, as the weight is distributed equally.
- The system can be used over the stern or side of a boat.
- Fits most boats, both with straight, negative and positive transoms.
- It’s adjustable in height and fits almost any boat.
- The soft foam parts (white color) can be used as extra fenders.
- A swim platform is not neeeded as the foam parts (white color) hold the inflatable boat away from the larger vessel while the rings support the cone ends of the inflatable boat.
- Quick launch in emergency situations.
- Affordable, thanks to a simple and clever design.
- When in use the dinghy should not be permitted to take on and hold water.
- A small engine can be kept mounted under certain circumstances - see below.
Innovative and patented this davit system offers easy storage of an inflatable boat. The unique design makes it possible to raise the inflatable boat into a angled or standing vertical position with manual power. Can be used on sailboat, powerboats, motorhome, campers, trailers, trucks, and in garages.

When underway in calm weather the system should be used at only 15-45 degrees so that the skipper can overlook it. In rough weather and seas, the inflatable boat should be secured tight to the larger vessel in a full vertical position. Speed and maneuvering must be monitored and adjusted subject to weather and sea conditions.
The supplied safety straps must always be used, and the inflatable boat must always be secured with additonal tie-down rope.
- Supports inflatable dinghies up to 110lbs (50 Kilograms) or 11 ft 6inches in length (3.5 meters).
- Suitable for cone-tip to cone-tip measurements between the pontoons of 40 - 50 inches ( 102 - 127 cm).
- It corresponds to a total inflatable boat width between 53 - 67 inches (135 - 170 cm).
- The Dinghy Rinsg FLEX comes only in white.
- For inflatables with flat pontoons an optional accessory is required - Pontoon LINK - see it here.
Specifications: 30/25 mm stainless steel A4/AISI 316, straps in UV-resistant polyester, EVA foam, weight 9 lbs (4 kilograms).
In most cases, an outboard engine can be kept on the inflatable boat to a raised position between 30-85 degrees when not underway, subject to engine type (2 or 4 stroke, etc) and its ability to pivot up. Remove engine when the system is in the fully vertical positon or when underway in rough seas. Max 6 hp outboard. Do not exceed the maximum weight of the system noted above (which includes the combined weight of the dinghy and engine if you leave your engine on the dinghy when in the davit).
